In 37", 32", and 26", the two top dogs in LCD, in BOTH performance and reliability, are Panasonic Viera and Sony Bravia. A price point down, but still good quality is the Toshiba Regza followed by Sharp and Samsung. If I couldn't get one of these 5 brands in these sizes, I wouldn't buy!
I suggest you get some education by reading the very good, concise HDTV article in the 3/08 Consumer Reports available at your public library, or on-line by subscription.
